What I Do – Kipidi

I teach, under the KiPiDi brand, entrepreneurship and family business to owners of small, medium, micro enterprises operating in the informal sector of our economy.

KiPiDi is an adult education platform focused upon building entrepreneurial knowledge and skills in family owned businesses and their founders, in Kasi.

It is through a combination of advocacy, social entrepreneurship and education, along with mobilising the voice of the Black African Business Family that I will confront the existential challenge of poverty, unemployment and inequality.

Two foundational workshops have been developed to date:
* KiPiDi Entrepreneurship Bootcamp
* KiPiDi Family Business Founders

Why Me?

A unique value proposition

  • a black woman, entrepreneur, family business owner, born and raised and living in Kasi.
  • combines her talents and insights as an entrepreneur and leader of her own business family.
  • to mobilise and develop an entrepreneurship and business family education initiative.
  • focused and tailored to the people, families and communities in Kasi who need this knowledge now.

Why this solution?

It works – the most successful economies are dominated by family owned businesses

  • our economy cannot create jobs at the speed and volume required to meet the challenge we face as a nation.
  • uniting the black family behind its founder entrepreneur requires nothing from a failed leadership elite.
  • only a mindset of self help and the part of the founder and the family is required.

Why You?

Socially Responsible You

Improved perception of a brand that gives back, motivated by both a “moral imperative” as well as “license-to-operate” obligations.

Growing Shareholder Value You

  • Opportunity to win over customers from competing brands.
  • Higher consumer willingness to pay.
  • Employee satisfaction.

From both a CSR, ESG as well as a commercial perspective its about forging deeper customer relationships in a South Africa that questions the relevance of the free market system and the big corporates that benefit from it.
